To the expo!

Alice grunted as the maid did the final ribbon on the back of her dress, she hated having to get dressed in proper clothes, but her mother and her had received a letter in the mail last week inviting both of them to some royal families international exposition. Her mother had insisted Alice wear her best white Victorian style dress. In Alice's opinion she hated it, the dress made her look like some kind of porclien doll. She thanked the helpers and they left leaving the child on her own. She pulled the hat they had made her put on earlier off her head and instead tied in a white ribbon. 

"Alice hurry now, the carriage shall be here soon!" 

" coming mother!" Yelled Alice grabbing her suitcase off the bed, she opened her bedroom door and ran down the long hall and stairs over to her mothers side. 

After a few kisses goodbye from most of the maids, workers and her sister Margret, they walked out to the large black carriage where their suitcases where packed onto the back, her mother helped her climb the steps into the sitting area and once she was in and the driver was seated in front it started to move. 

Alice looked at the scenery as they left the city and started the long journey ahead, she was excited and nervous at the same time. " I wonder what type of people I shall meet..." She mumbled.
